Aren't they so cute?! I so wanted to stick them both in my pocket and walk out of the pet store with them. Two lemon parrotlets would be a nice addition to our flock! They were such sweet little things, too. They were totally content to snuggle up in my hand together. I was a good girl and put them back. You can be sure that I will visit them again soon!

Five shots of Goldschlager...
A house full of wanna-be rock stars...
Watching Kirsten singing a Hungry Like the Wolf duet while drunk...priceless!
This was taken around 1:30 am. Don't mind the bad picture quality, my camera phone doesn't do so well in the dark. So. I was laughing my ass off while taking this shot. Not only are they singing together into the one mic, they are screaming the lyrics and making up new ones as they go along. Needless to say, they failed this song, but it was so worth it!

Um....yeah. This was supposed to be the top to a lipstick cake for Jenn's Mary Kay party tonight, but things didn't work out so well. So Darren decided to try his hand at cake decorating, and, well, this is what he came up with! We did end up cutting into it late at night, and to my surprise, I found Rice Krispy treats inside. Yum!

This is our nightly ritual. Rob usually goes to bed betweek 8:30 and 9:30 at night. I usually go to bed between 10:00 and 11:00 at night (when I have a job, if not, then it's around 2am). So after he gets ready for bed, he tries to be as quiet as he can and sneaks off to the bedroom before I can say goodnight. After I notice that he's missing, I'll run to to bedroom, fling open the door and flip on the lights. He'll scream like a little girl (tehee!) and dive under the covers. Then, I'll yank on the covers and try to give him a kiss. Usually this leads to mayhem, and about five minutes later, I can give him a kiss and say goodnight. This picture is typical of what I find when I turn on the lights. :) It's funny, because he puts up such a fight when I'm there. However, on the nights that I don't bother to do it, he sulks. I don't get it.

I couldn't resist taking a few pictures tonight before bed. The snow was so pretty as it fell, and it was so eerily light out. Of course, you can't really tell that by this picture since the flood lights were on, but if you look out past the driveway at the cemetary across the street, you can tell how light it is. Usually, I can't see the headstones at night. Some people are like, "How can you live across the street from a cemetary?!" I don't know, it doesn't bother me. They are very quiet neighbors! Although, I think some of the ghosts of those people hang out in our basement once in a while late at night. Both Rob and I have heard voices coming from downstairs like the tv was on, but it was not on. Strange stuff. Whatever, they don't bother us, so they can hang out if they want...

I almost ran out of gas today. Oops! I was trying to make it to the cheaper gas station down the road, but my car was starting to sputter, so I pulled into this station. Now, I have a 16 gallon tank, and I had to put 15.153 gallons in. Yeah, it was prety low! The only good thing is that it cost me $31.20, not $80 like I was paying to fill it up during this past summer. I think the price of super at this station was $2.07/gallon, which is reasonable.

This is how Molly rolls. :) She loves to crawl up into Rob's hand and hang out there for hours. She also loves to get her head and eyes rubbed while sitting like this. He can hold her upside down, sideways (as shown here) or right side up, she doesn't mind as long as she can hold on with one claw. She'll even fall asleep like this. Silly girl...

I love this picture! This is Kirsten after about 4 shots of Goldschlager and 1 of Parrot Bay. Now, keep in mind that she never drinks! We were playing Rockband at Anita's house and she decided to play the guitar while Anita sang one song. The way she holds the guitar is funny on a normal day, but it was especially funny whe she was drunk! She put it on her lap like a mandolin and played lefty. She didn't do all that bad! And the best part of the night was when she was singing. For once, we could actually hear her! Plus, she was getting into character and dancing along with the music. It was great. I'm gonna have to get her drunk more often! :)

This is what $12,000 looks like in $50 and $20 bills. Pretty cool, huh? Too bad it isn't mine! Anita, Darren and I went car shopping for her today, and Darren was lugging the cash around in a camera bag. Maybe not the wisest thing to do, but it was a fun day of driving lots of different SUVs and making the sales guys squirm. There was no definate choice today, but that should happen soon...

Still playing with the apeture setting on the camera. These little cars are on my computer at work. The left is a Nissan Skyline, my dream car. The right is a Nissan Silvia. The little people were placed there by Katie, a girl at my work. I'm guessing the girl is me and the boy is Rob. Notice that I'm in front?

Yeah, this is a pretty generic shot. I'm trying out the apeture setting on my camera. I like the look of having something in sharp focus with everything else blurry. While I can't do a whole lot of that with my camera (it's a point and shoot, not an DSLR) I'm seeing what can be done with my limited apeture range.

So I signed up to sell Mark and Avon the other day. It was only $10 to start, and I'm hoping it will help when my job ends in a few weeks. I can get a website and sell it that way, so most of the work will be done for me! This is my bag of goodies that my rep, Karen, gave me. It's got a bunch of catalogs and some intro stuff to get me going. We'll see how this pans out. Hopefully better than the Tupperware phase!

This is a photo of a really cool bridge in Hingham. Rob and I went for a ride to Boston and the south shore today and we passed over this bridge by a shipyard. They had a large war ship in the harbor that Rob said was a museum. There were guns all over it! We also drove by the old house his dad lived in while Rob was in high school. It was right by a beach, so we hopped out and headed for the waves. Unfortunately, the winds were howling and it was seriously cold, so we only stayed for a minute. It was a different way to spend the day.

So this is a weird turn of events. Three days ago, Pip Squeak (right) couldn't stand Roo (left) and would bite his feet every chance she got. Then Roo got close enough to preen her head and now they're best buddies. Look, they're kissing in this photo! I think Roo will move into Pip's cage this weekend. I'll be glad to get my kitchen table back...

Grocery shopping again. I always feel bad for the poor lobsters in the big tank by the fish counter. They're in there with a bunch of other lobsters, just waiting to be taken home by someone and thrown in a pot of boiling water. That doesn't sound like a good way to go does it? I love lobster (although I'm allergic now) but I could never get over that fact that they were still alive when they were thrown in. That's just cruel!

It was nice today! It was in the mid-40s, which, for the beginning of February in New England is pretty warm. I went to visit my dad and we decided to go to the movies. We got there about 20 minutes early, so we sat down and talked for a while. The next time I looked at my watch, we were already 15 minutes past the start time. Ooops! So we decided to go to the beach instead, since it was only 5 minutes away. As you can see, there was a nice layer of snow on the sand, but it was (kind of) warm in the sun. We ended up getting chicken finger plates at Kelly's and talking some more. It was good to talk with dad like that. We haven't done that in a long time. Plus, we were by the ocean, which I love. So it was a good day, even though we missed the movie.
